The weekly immersion lectures were mind blowing and life changing, to say the least. Ross and Jenni’s explanation of the ancient texts, science, philosophy and breath work was probably the most psychologically/emotionally impactful part for me personally. Every week I would come home and just process for days each and every lecture. I went through some serious self-reflection and begin slowly living and feeling the niyamas. I finally discovered compassion for myself and the world around me. The breath work alone has allowed me to finally slow everything down naturally without substances and truly experience the elusive “mindfulness”. The program they developed beautifully weaved all of the ancient philosophy into a comprehensive and clear format. I am and will continue to unpack the mass amounts of knowledge they shared, and will be eternally grateful.
I discovered yoga during my first pregnancy in 2003 as alternative to stay active. With motherhood, unnecessary and extreme self-sacrifice and neglect ensued. I was pursuing the almighty “American Dream”. This pursuit resulted in me taking on way too much…
Evolutions Yoga is the studio where I choose to practice on a regular basis because I know from experience that their teaching instruction is superior to anything else in the metro- Indianapolis area, and for that matter, just about anywhere else in the nation that I have practiced in the last 15 years. When I saw that Jenni and Ross were offering an Immersion plus E200 teacher program, my mind was made up. I came to the realization that not only had I chosen Evolutions for teacher training, but it felt like they had chosen me too. I was so excited! Funny how things work out at the right time in our lives.
Our class schedule was set up for householders – people who work during the day or have other obligations (life)…
When I heard of the Evolutions Immersion program, it was almost too good to be true. Studying with Jenni and Ross? In a program that I could afford and attend without conflict? It didn’t seem possible. I wasn’t sure that I wanted to teach, but I did want to learn, I knew that much. I decided to delve into the teaching because, well, why not. This opportunity had presented itself in such a way, that I had to take advantage.
I’m honored to have been a part of the Teacher Training and Immersion program, and to have grown and developed along with the raddest group I’ve ever known…
E@Yoga has changed my life! Drastically. Jenni and Ross have taken a shy, first time studio practitioner and made her into a strong, knowledgeable, experienced and independent Yoga student who eventually becomes a “teacher.” The level of change that I have experienced over the years practicing in this studio, goes way deeper than my Yoga practice. This studio has helped develop aspects of my personality that had previously laid dormant.
My asana practice started at home, and continued for 10 years without any sort of live, in person, guidance…
I am so grateful to have been a part of this program and to have the opportunity to integrate the practice into my daily routine. These techniques are tools that I will carry with me for my entire life. Hopefully, I will be able to use these tools to help others and to help myself. I am so thankful for my teachers who have really dedicated their lives to teaching us in asana and in the classroom; thank you for making this learning experience possible
The teacher training course with Jenni has been an amazing journey. Her passion for the world of yoga spills over into her teaching skills with her students. It is a very calming and relaxing atmosphere of learning. She is very thorough and all questions are answered in a manner that all can learn. A dedicated amount of time is involved in taking the training, but I personally have found that about 45 minutes to 1 hour per day allows enough time to do the reading and study of terms for the course. It is all so fascinating that the time seems to fly right on by. I would highly recommend the training course if you are at all interested and moved by the practice of yoga.
Being in the YTT program has truly been a spiritual journey for me both mentally and physically. I loved the first semester learning about the history of yoga and its principals. I enjoyed the various experiential pieces we worked with and have incorporated these valuable tools in my everyday life. This program is transforming. I feel privileged to have Jenni as my teacher who shares her knowledge and wisdom she has learned over the years in a fun and direct way.
