Prenatal Mobility Specialist
Erika began the practice of yoga almost 20 years ago as a way to gain strength and quiet the mind. She continued her practice off and on as she transitioned from young social service provider to families with young children and aspiring birth doula, to a masters prepared public health official working in HIV, STD, and viral hepatitis prevention.
In 2015, Erika found her yoga home at Evolutions Yoga and soon she developed a dedicated daily practice of asana, pranayama, and pure fun! In 2018, Erika completed her yoga teacher training at Evolutions with Jenni Keith focusing on the history and philosophies of yoga alongside healthy movement and muscle recruitment in asana. Erika continued her education with Jenni by completing Myofascial Rx ® level one teacher training in 2019. Erika has also completed prenatal yoga teacher coursework with Carole Westerman of 90 Monkeys and Evolve to Harmony Yoga.
Erika specializes in teaching gentle and prenatal yoga and mobility at Evolutions Yoga and with semi-private and private clients. When she’s not on her mat Erika loves sipping tea, knitting, and going on adventures with her husband Shane.
